Only three surgeries remain for DJ Evolve to regain his voice -Babu Owino

 

Shot City Dj's father, John Orinda, says that DJ Felix Orinda, also known as DJ Evolve, will be able to talk again after three more surgeries.

The transechtomy that his son has been using ever since his gunshot event will finally be unnecessary, according to Mr Orinda.

A tracheostomy is a hole drilled into the front of the neck that will eventually house a tube that will help a patient breathe. It is a procedure used when a person has a serious neck injury.

"We questioned the physician who has been caring for Evolve since the gunshot about how long Evolve must be on the tube, and he said that my son has a blockage that has to be removed. Three procedures will be required, and they are not simple to do, " Mr Orinda stated on Monday in an interview with Nairobi News that he will regain his voice.

Mr Orinda said that his son's tubes make it hard for him to say his words correctly, which is why he is having trouble speaking right now.

He has trouble communicating effectively. Although it may be quite difficult to hear him when he talks at times, his nurses claim they can always tell what he's trying to say. For Evolve, the mucous plug makes things a little challenging, according to Mr Orinda.

However, he said that his kid has made good strides in his healing process, so he is now optimistic that he will completely recover.

"I have been under strain on this issue for a very long time, but I feel a little more at ease now that there is hope that my kid may recover. I'm thrilled with how well he is doing and how much weight he has gained," he remarked.

In January 2020, MP for Embakasi East Babu Owino is said to have shot DJ Evolve in the neck at a nightclub in Nairobi.

The legislator was accused of assault with a deadly weapon, but DJ Evolve filed a motion to drop the charge.

Since then, Evolve's family has said that the MP has helped pay for Evolve's recovery by giving money.

Before this, his father had said that his kid was still dependent on a wheelchair and was working on sitting.
