Azimio protesters at IEBC offices chased by Police officers

As members of the Azimio Coalition Party protested outside the Nairobi headquarters of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), police fired tear gas into the air on Monday.

Even when police ordered the politicians to scatter their followers before they could meet with the electoral body, several MPs were caught up in the ensuing brawl.

The entrances of Anniversary Towers, the structure that houses the IEBC headquarters, were locked.

The leaders of Azimio are speaking out against what they say is the commission's witch hunt against Ruth Kulundu, the deputy CEO of the IEBC.

The leaders of Azimio want Kulundu to go back to her job, and they also say that the IEBC is going after people who are seen as being on their side.
