Kenyas Statehouse with William Ruto as the President

William Ruto will hoist a green presidential flag after his inauguration tomorrow.

Presidential standards are hoisted with the national flag when the President is present and removed after he leaves. Kenya Defense Force made it to the President-liking. elect's (KDF).

The flag's other emblems remain unknown. It contains two crossed spears and a flag-colored shield. These two signify unity and nationalism.

Let the fifth President expose his standard here for some surprise. I don't know if he'd want it described today," Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho said.

If Dr. Ruto follows the design process of prior presidential standards, his flag will contain his party's symbol, the wheelbarrow, which signifies "value, dignity, and respect of effort in desire of an egalitarian society"

Uhuru Kenyatta chose a blue Standard like his father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. He added a dove-The National Alliance (TNAparty )'s symbol-instead of his father's yellow cockerel- KANU's.

Mwai Kibaki, Moi's successor, chose white with two olive branches.

In Tuesday's ceremony, President Kenyatta's Standard will be lowered as Dr. Ruto's is raised, marking a change of guard and Ruto's accession to power.

Full dress rehearsals are accomplished, and the Assumption of Office Committee will offer a final briefing today.

Yesterday, the event's artists and comedians finalized their performances.

Local gospel music lead by Florence Mureiithi's Usikiyae Maombi (He who answers Prayers), the popular Tanzania evangelism group Zabron vocalists, and mainstream performers Nadia Mukami and Sanaipei Tande perform patriotic and thanksgiving songs.

About 2,500 people, including 20 heads of state, have been invited.

Katherine Tai will lead President Biden's delegation for the ceremony.

Ambassador Meg Whitman, Texas Representative Colin Allred, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Mary Catherine Phee, and USAID Assistant Administrator Dr Monde Muyangwa will accompany her.
