Linda Oguttu and Nick Mwendwa battle at FKF

On Friday, Nick Mwendwa sent an email to FIFA President Gianni Infantino telling him of his return as FKF President.

In the letter signed September 8, Mwendwa notified Infantino that he was resuming his responsibilities after the corruption accusations against him were dismissed by the Director of Public Prosecution.

" Regarding the temporary interruption of my duties and obligations as FKF President to the FKF Vice President, please refer to my letter of November 29, 2021.

"In this regard, I hereby wish to inform your good office that I have resumed my duties as the FKF president, with immediate effect, following Article 42 of the FKF constitution (2017), " Mwendwa said.

This follows the Directorate of Public Prosecution's withdrawal of charges on July 8, 2022.

The FKF caretaker committee, which was chosen by CS Amina Mohamed in November of last year after FKF was disbanded, is likely to disagree with Mwendwa's approach.

Mwendwa's most recent action has not yet been addressed by the committee, although one of its secretariat representatives, Linda Oguttu, has spoken out on the subject.

The former KTN news anchor responded to Mwendwa's message by saying, "I will leave this here.......fellow Kenyans...I am gone."

She also tweeted, "Watu ya football.....good morning please."

However, the discussion in the responses was hostile, with many people criticizing her for further destroying Kenyan football.

She received the following tweet: "You were there illegally, you didn't know anything about sports, simply a favour from someone who sent you there, kanyaga kubwa kubwa."

"Yes, the owner of the animal you murdered has returned to take possession of what is properly theirs. Keep in mind that you will count each and every coin," added another.

A different reply said, "Rudi kwa TV sasa, You've played your part in wrecking football, I hope you made it worthwhile for yourself, for some of us, it wasn't."
