Spanish La Liga game this weekend at K24 La Liga Santima on Fri 28th October 2022 Mallorca vs Espanyol

The Mallorca team led by Javier Aguirre has gotten off to a very promising start to the new season, and it is maybe a bit of a shame that they are not sitting a few spots higher in the early LaLiga rankings.

The island side had accrued an anticipated goal total of 5.20 in their preceding three trips, scoring just one goal and picking up one point in a very unlucky series of matches before their trip to Valencia the previous weekend. In addition, they had only managed to score one goal.

The return of impressive striker Vedat Muriqi on Saturday did seem to stimulate Los Piratas, as the Kosovan scored his fifth goal of the season from the penalty spot to help his side to a win at Mestalla for the first time in over 12 years. Los Piratas' victory was the first time Los Piratas had won at Mestalla.

Kang-in Lee also tallied to maintain his great form on his return to Spain's third city. This would have been a heartbreaking sight for Valencia supporters to see, given his contentious departure from the club two seasons ago. Lee's goal continued his fine run on his return to Spain's third city.

Mallorca is a formidable team that has the ability to defeat any opponent in front of its own fans. With Lee and Muriqi at the top end of the pitch, as well as a rock-solid, a combative foundation that has allowed only 15 goals in 11 games so far this season, Mallorca is a side that is good enough to beat any team.

Spanish La Liga game this weekend at K24 La Liga Santima on Fri 28th October 2022 will be Mallorca vs Espanyol.

A tough and inconsistent season for the away team resumed the previous weekend as they threw away a late lead against a struggling Elche team in the La Liga match.

Los Pericos continued to struggle to take their chances against the league's leakiest defence, as Joselu missed a golden opportunity to seal the game just minutes before Gonzalo Verdu scored a spectacular equalizer. This was another clumsy attack by Los Pericos, who tried to take advantage of their chances but failed to do so.

As Javi Puado and Martin Braithwaite both bundled in close-range chances on either side of the interval, it was just the second occasion that the former Stoke City striker has failed to score at the RCDE stadium while wearing an Espanyol jersey.

Diego Martinez has some defensive work to do if Los Pericos are going to keep themselves clear of a relegation scrap. The Catalan club are looking for only their second victory away from home in the calendar year. Los Pericos have only managed two clean sheets so far this season.
