Eric Omondi demolishes Oktobafest blasts it for over sacrifice and incompetency,

Eric Omondi, who calls himself the President of Comedy in Africa, has now said that he won't recognize the just-ended Oktobafest, which took place in Nairobi from October 28 to 30 at the Ngong Racecourse.

Omondi, who continues to use his many years of experience in the entertainment business to act as their "voice of reason," says that the organizers undersold themselves in order to get people to come.

He acknowledged the three-day event in his reaction to radio presenter Kamene Goro, who begged him to at least call it extraordinary. He added that the organizers put a lot of effort into the turnout.

He asserts that even if the prices were exorbitant, Nigerian performers would get the same audience.

"You want me to applaud, yet it took over 30 Kenyan artists and a Ksh 500 gate fee to fill up a Kenyan performance. You must be under the influence, my buddies. Gate fees of up to Ksh15,000 na bado wanajaza and all it takes for one Nigerian to make a concert full," on Instagram, he posted.

Eric Omondi also criticized a recent event in which Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage launched her MAC cosmetics brand in Kenya with a Kenyan lineup. He said that it should have been the other way around.

"Alafu, why is Femi singing for Tiwa Savage when she launches lipstick in Kenya? Why can't things ever be reversed? Femi performs for her during the Lipstick Alafu launch in Lagos. VISION BIG! GET UP!! We will not accept mediocrity at all! "

Several well-known Kenyan artists, like Nyashinski, Nadia Mukami, Khaligraph Jones, and Mejja, were set to perform at the event.
