Esther Passaris with family in Mombasa celebrating Dad birthday
 

At a spectacular celebration, Nairobi women's representative Esther Passaris celebrated her late father's 80th birthday in Mombasa.

 

 
The fiery lawmaker's father died in January of this year while he was getting treatment for cancer at Nairobi Hospital. He had been fighting cancer for a long time.



Passaris has now planned a birthday celebration for her father, nine months after he passed away.


 
At the event in Mombasa, the family prayed and cut a cake in honour of the late dad.


 
"In Mombasa to commemorate my father's 80th birthday in the Greek Orthodox tradition, together with Archbishop Makarios, who is still with us on this journey.
 

"October 21st would have been nine months since his death, but we decided to pray and celebrate with cake on his birthday instead." Passaris authored.



Passaris shared the sad news of her father's passing at the beginning of the year in a post on his social media platforms.


 
The lawmaker talked about her father's accomplishments over the years, like how he helped build Kenya's first ship.

 

Esther Passaris celebrated her late father's 80th birthday in Mombasa.



"Today, a piece of me departed. My father's agony came to an end when the skies opened. My father, a naval architect by trade, accomplished a lot in his 79 years.



She stated, "From coaching and teaching the young men of Ngome Football Club in Mombasa to creating the first ship in Kenya, the MV Mwewe."



Passaris also said that her late father started HELMACO and ran it until he retired. Before that, he had worked for Southern Engineering Company Limited, COMARCO.
