Recently, the Special Services Unit, a Directorate of Criminal Investigations unit, was ordered to be disbanded by acting Inspector General of Police Noor Gabow.

A few months ago, the killing squad was found to be responsible for the kidnapping and disappearance of two Indians and their taxi driver from Ole Sereni.

People say that the two Indians, who worked for President Ruto's campaign team, went in and out of the country in the days before they disappeared.

Four people from the now-defunct Special Services Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations were found guilty of the crime and brought to court to be charged.

The operations commander of the killing team has now been revealed, according to the Daily Nation Newspaper.

The four people who have been detained are Mr Peter Muthee Gachiku, Mr Francis Muendo Ndonye, Mr John Mwangi Kamau, and Mr Joseph Kamau Mbugua, according to court papers.

According to reports, Mr Peter Muthee Gachiku was the operations leader of the unit that is charged with the four people's abduction, according to court records.

When the matter was initially mentioned in court yesterday, they were defended by their lawyer, Danstan Omari.
