Liverpool has won its last two games in the Premier League, allowing no goals over that span.

With a Saturday midday match against Nottingham Forest, Jurgen Klopp's Reds, who have been out of form recently, go to the City Ground. The Reds just defeated West Ham and Manchester City by an average score of 1-0.

Prior to the 12th matchday, Liverpool should feel confident in their prospects against Nottingham Forest, who are mired in the relegation zone. Just two points were earned by Forest in their past six league matches.

The team's previous three games included two draws under manager Steve Cooper. If Nottingham Forest wants to compete for Premier League sustainability, those points might mean a lot.

Liverpool won an FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest by a score of 1-0 at the City Ground last year.

Liverpool won thanks to a goal by Diogo Jota in the 78th minute. With a win against Chelsea on penalties in May, the Reds went on to win the FA Cup.

In five of their past six games, Liverpool has gone undefeated. Following consecutive Premier League victories, they moved up to the seventh place. The Reds are just four points behind Arsenal in the first place and 11 behind the top four.

Although Liverpool are not as powerful as they were last season, it should be kept in mind that they trailed Manchester City by 12 points halfway through the 2021–22 season.

Liverpool collected 11 of the last 18 available points. This campaign, the Reds have excelled at home, but they have struggled on the road. Only two out of a possible 12 points were earned by Klopp's squad. Liverpool will attempt to get its first road win at the City Ground despite having a losing record on the road.

Cooper has a mounting record of injuries. Defenders Omar Richards, Moussa Niakhate, and Jack Colback won't be available for him. Due to an ankle injury, Renan Lodi may not be able to participate, and fullback Harry Toffolo is also questionable. Meanwhile, Lewis O'Brien may miss the game due to illness.

Klopp's injury list is still rather extensive. The forwards, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz will not be available until after the World Cup break. According to his outstanding recent play, Joe Gomez will continue to play centre defence despite Joel Matip's calf injury.

Naby Keita and Arthur Melo will not play in the match. Darwin Nunez scored from a Kostas Tsimikas head cross against West Ham thanks to his outstanding play. He was taken out due to concerns about a minor injury, but he ought to make the squad. Ibrahima Konate may possibly come back.

For Klopp, having Curtis Jones readily available for selection versus West Ham gave Klopp some relief in the midfield. On Saturday, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is getting closer to a comeback, may play his first few Premier League minutes.
