WhatsApp down now

Internet users noticed that WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, was down Tuesday morning.

Even with a stable internet connection, the platform's mobile app and online version were not working. The online version only showed an error message that said "Retrying..." in the top-left corner of the screen.

As usual, a lot of people complained on Twitter that the software only lets them write messages to friends and tap the send button.

The messages, however, became trapped after that and were never sent.

The outage was felt in many places around the world, and around 10 a.m., the number of problems reported on the website DownDetector rose sharply.
