On Sunday, November 27, 2022, thousands of Kenyans flocked to Kasarani Stadium to take part in a crusade conducted by Mombasa-based evangelist pastor Ezekiel Odera.
Only seasoned politicians have been able to draw such a big throng to Kasarani as Pastor Ezekiel, a pastor of the New Life Church in Mombasa city.
The Kasarani stadium can hold 60,000 people, but on Sunday, Kenyans who attended pastor Ezekiel's crusade outnumbered that number by a large margin, and other Christian devotees also crowded the football field.
Also present in Kasarani was Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, the spouse of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. The moment the stadium was full, she said that Kenyans were famished for the message of God.
She continued by saying that the crowd had come to see pastor Ezekiel perform marvels, healings, and miracles.
Prophet David Owuor is the only other Kenyan televangelist with such a sizable following except pastor Ezekiel Odera.
Owuor is notorious for causing significant traffic jams whenever he travels around the nation. There are locations of the preacher's Ministry of Repentance and Holiness church all around the nation.
Owuor has often packed the considerably larger Uhuru Park to full. All of the major political figures, including the recently-retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, committed to hold a peaceful election during Owuor's mega-crusade at Uhuru Park in February 2013.
