Police Car in Mombasa

 

A 28-year-old woman has been taken into custody because her husband was killed in Likoni, Mombasa.


On November 14, 2022, Becca Mwamburi, 55, was discovered at his home in a rotting state.


According to police sources, the deceased passed away on Saturday following a fight with his wife, Winnie Anyango.


According to the woman's police report, there was a fight at around 8:00 p.m., and the man fell and hit a stone on the floor when he hit the ground.


When she went to a friend's house for safety, she found out that her husband had died. When she went back to her own home, she found that he was gone.


According to the police's early investigation, the deceased suffered a serious neck wound.

 


"On Monday, the rotting corpse of Rebecca was discovered at his home along with a serious neck wound. The dead husband's wife said that after a Saturday night quarrel, the deceased fell and struck his head on a stone on the floor at around 8:00 p.m. When she went to ask the neighbor for assistance, she discovered him dead," according to the authorities.


The lady was detained, according to the police, when a blood-stained machete was found at the deceased's home.


Anyango was also discovered with a bloody T-shirt on.


"The authorities took pictures of the area, and a machete coated in blood was found." The police report also said that the dead wife was discovered wearing a blood-stained T-shirt.


As the event is still being investigated, the lady was taken to jail.


The body was taken to the morgue at Coast General Hospital so that an autopsy could be done.
