Kisii Boy eyes gouged

A 3-year-old youngster abducted in Kisii had her eyes gouged out. Baby Sagini was hospitalised for treatment after having his eyeballs gouged out.

The kid's family was in a panic as they looked for the minor's whereabouts after the group allegedly kidnapped him from his family's Marani house on Wednesday evening and detained him for more than 6 hours.

The child was found with blood all over his face. He was taken to the Kisii Eye Hospital, where he had surgery and is now recovering in the general ward.

A group that abducted a 3-year-old infant, gouged out his eyes, and dumped him at the family's banana plantation is being sought after by police in Kisii.

The kid's family was in a panic as they looked for the minor's whereabouts after the group allegedly kidnapped him from his family's Marani house on Wednesday evening and detained him for more than 6 hours.

The child, who was discovered with his face covered in blood and was transported to the Kisii Eye Hospital, is now recovering in the general department after surgery.

In addition to the agonising discomfort, physicians claim the peculiar occurrence has rendered the youngster blind.

He had both of his eyes entirely removed, and the lids had minor damage.

"So it seems that a sharp object, such as a knife, was used," said Dr. Daniel Kiage.

Following the horrible atrocity performed on infant Sagini, residents of Ikuruma village in Marani, Kisii County, are still in disbelief.

None of them could have predicted the condition he would be discovered in when they all teamed up with his family to search for him after he went missing.

The father of the infant, Sagini, was first detained by police as a suspect in the case, but he was subsequently released due to a lack of evidence linking him to the murder.

His grandma is sitting nearby, softly sobbing as he lays on his hospital bed, swaths of bandages covering the space where his eyes previously were and leaving him unable to understand why his world has gone black.

His family is pleading with the police to expedite their inquiries and apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.

As soon as Sagini is stable enough, doctors say he will undergo a second procedure.

Kisii Boy eyes gouged, Sonko rewards the public for anyone who will give information

Mike Mbuvi Sonko, a former governor of Nairobi, offered a prize of Ksh400,000 to any police officer who would kill the gang members responsible for gouging out the eyes of a three-year-old kid in Kisii.

Sonko also made a Ksh200,000 reward offer to any member of the public who provided police with clues and helped them find the gang.

The police officer who kills a member of this infamous gang will get Ksh400,000, Sonko said. "I have been very pained by this unfortunate tragedy," Sonko said.

On Saturday, December 17, the former governor reiterated on his social media accounts that he would stand up for the cops if the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) took legal action against them.
