Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi MP

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has given an explanation as to why he has been absent from the eyes of the public for a number of weeks in response to mounting pressure.

The Member of Parliament (MP) gave his explanation for his prolonged absence from the general public at a Baringo County goat sale event.

He said that he was engaged in political activities during a time when they were putting in a lot of effort to help Ruto win the presidency, but because Ruto has already been elected, he has nothing more to fight for at this point.

Sudi, who was speaking unusually short for him, said that he had made the decision to step away from politics until February 2023 in the form of a type of sabbatical leave.

"Although I had said that I would go into a temporary retirement until February, certain con artists have been inquiring as to why I have been so quiet. But what exactly is it that you want me to do?

"Is it possible that, as a result of all of our efforts, this guy (Ruto) is here and isn't the president?"In his unusual short address that he gave on Thursday at the annual Kimalel goat auction, he wished everyone present, "May God bless you."

At the event, the most important attendee was President William Ruto.

One of the Members of Parliament from the Rift Valley who had a good relationship with President William Ruto is Sudi.

The Kenyan president would occasionally board the Kenya Airforce helicopter, which is only available for important state dignitaries, in order to grace events.

Ruto made his first trip in his position as president to Ethiopia, Uganda, and Tanzania. Sudi was a member of the group that accompanied Ruto on this trip.

However, for a few weeks now, the image of Sudi, who had been thought of as a member of President Ruto's inner circle, has been noticeably absent from numerous important events that the president has attended. This is a notable absence.

On the other hand, he has been less outspoken on social media, where he previously often spoke in favour of or in defence of President Ruto.
