Boniface Wambugu dies after his two sisters fall in love with him

In Kirinyaga County, a 23-year-old man was reportedly slain by two sisters in a rumoured love affair. The event is under investigation by the police.

The event took place in Mugamba settlement in Mwea East, and the guy passed away after an altercation at a nearby pub.

Daniel Kitavi, the chief of police in the area, says that Louise Wangerwe and two other people beat up Boniface Wambugu, who later died.

"A beer bottle was used to strike the late Wambugu. He suffered severe neck injuries and passed away instantly," said Kitavi.

The police stated, "One of the suspects was captured. One of the suspects was punished by the crowd, but the third one got away."

"We kindly request that people refrain from enforcing the law themselves. The suspect, who was beaten up by a crowd, might have died if cops hadn't intervened," Kitavi added.

Witnesses said that they think there may have been a love triangle involved. "The bar employed the two sisters.

"After a disagreement, one of them jumped on the victim," local resident Nimrod Muchiri stated.

The deceased's corpse is resting at the Kibugi Mortuary in Kutus. The suspect is now being detained at the Itangi Police Station.

"Our goal is justice. All we want is justice for our kid, regardless of whether it was a love affair gone bad," local resident Aloise Murage stated.
