Nurse murdered by her boyfriend in Homa Bay over fried Omena dinner

In Rod Kopany, in the Homa Bay Town constituency, police are looking for a man who is suspected of killing a female nurse.

Around 11 a.m. on Sunday, Mary Kwamboka Ogechi, a nurse who worked at a nearby private hospital, was discovered dead in her residence.

She was in her rental home, and the door was locked from the outside. 

The person who found the corpse was her neighbor, who was also a good colleague.

According to a police report, the neighbor said that when she saw that the dead person's door was shut from the outside, she started to have suspicions.

After peeking, the neighbor said that she saw the nurse's corpse lying in a pool of blood, which prompted her to call the police.

There was a plate full of fried Omena on the side, others scattered on the floor with partially eaten Ugali according to an eyewitness.

The woman's boyfriend may have murdered her the night before, according to police speculation.

The boyfriend, according to the police, has fled the scene and is no longer able to be found.

A kitchen knife that may have been used in the murder was found in the residence.

The dead person's corpse was sent to the Homa Bay County morgue.
