Raila Odinga in Bondo burial

Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition, has informed his followers that he will declare his next political move within the next month.

The opposition leader, who has accused IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati of screwing up the presidential election in 2022, has said that the struggle for justice is proceeding as planned.

"This issue is not yet resolved. I will provide instruction at the beginning of January," he stated while speaking at the funeral of the former councilman James Ochieng Ruku in Awendo, which is located in the county of Migori.

He also said that he will continue to fight for democracy "to guarantee that the desire of Kenyans is not misdirected by a handful of selfish individuals."

"We cannot have a scenario where just a few people make choices on who is going to lead the nation after Kenyans have exercised their right to vote," he added.

"We cannot have a situation where only a few individuals make decisions on who is going to lead the country."

Mr. Chebukati, according to the ODM leader, was wrong to declare Dr. William Ruto the winner of the presidential election, despite the objections raised by the majority of IEBC commissioners, one of whom was deputy chairwoman Juliana Cherera.

"The four commissioners are being mistreated, while Chebukati and his crew are being held up as models of behavior." "Don't worry; I won't keep you in the dark," he promised.

People who stole the vote are now going about denigrating us as though they are the rightful owners of this nation.

As a response, Mr. Odinga fired ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and the other leaders who had attacked him while the food was being delivered in Nyanza.

A number of other dignitaries, including the Governor of Migori, Ochilo Ayacko, Members of Parliament Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Walter Owino (Awendo), and Peter Masara (Suna West), as well as the Speaker of the Kisumu Assembly, Elisha Oraro, delivered eulogies during the burial.
