Reverend Jane Makau leads the betting and licencing board as Chair



Reverend Jane Makau has been handpicked as the best candidate by Interior CS Kithure Kindiki to lead the Betting, Control, and Licensing Board.


Kindiki said in a gazette notification that the assignment would begin on December 20, 2022, and last for three years.


Janet Mwawasi, Edwin Irungu, Innocent Muganda, Enerst Kamau, and Anne Too are additional members who have been appointed.


Makau is an ordained Reverend at Freedom Embassy, which has branches in Kenya, Liberia, and the United States, according to the website of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority (NWHSA), where she has worked as a director.


She also serves as a member of the Governance, Risk, and Audit Board Committee and as head of the Strategy, Technical, and Business Development Committee (GRAC).


Makau is on the National Council for Population and Development's board of directors.


She was appointed due to her exemplary work in different sectors.
