Manchester United vs Everton

Teams have advanced to the third round of the FA Cup, and on January 6th, Manchester United and Everton will square off.


At Old Trafford, where the match will be held, the home team will be hoping to go farther than they did the previous year, when they were eliminated in the fourth round and the visitors advanced to the quarterfinals.


Manchester United is coming into the game right after beating Bournemouth 3-0 at home in the Premier League on Tuesday night.


In the 23rd minute, the Red Devils scored first, and just before halftime, they doubled their lead. In the 86th minute, Manchester United scored a third goal to secure the victory.


Manchester United has won its past six competitive games as a consequence of such an outcome. 


In addition to beating Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Bournemouth in the Premier League, they also triumphed against Aston Villa and Burnley in the League Cup.


Manchester United hasn't lost in any of its last nine home games, in all competitions.At Old Trafford, they have won all seven of their most recent games, and in eight of those nine games, they have preserved a clean sheet.


Manchester United has won all five of its home games in the FA Cup after 90 minutes without losing. In three of their past five home FA Cup games, they have preserved a clean sheet, and they have won 11 of their last 13 FA Cup games.


Everton is going to Old Trafford after a very disappointing 4-1 loss at home to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.


After only 14 minutes, Brighton took the lead, and Everton's chances of winning began to fade. After the break, Brighton scored three goals in the span of six minutes, and Everton added a late consolation.


With the outcome, Everton has now lost all seven of its most recent competitive games. 



Five of the seven games have ended in defeat for the Toffees, who suffered losses in both the League Cup and the Premier League.


Everton's away record reveals that they have lost their past six games overall.
Everton has lost four of its past five road games in the FA Cup, going without a goal in two of those contests.


Team news: Donny van de Beek and Axel Tuanzebe may not be available for Manchester United due to injury. Jadon Sancho has resumed training and may participate from the sidelines.


James Garner and Michael Keane are still out injured for Everton. Nathan Patterson, Andros Townsend, and Anthony Gordon are all under question.


According to previous results, the home team should win, but Everton's recent draw against Manchester City proves they can frustrate stronger opponents.
