Before you talk ill of your ex-wife, think about how your last shared text messages would seem in a screenshot.

Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai shared screenshots of what appeared to be their final conversation with her ex-husband, Tanzania singer Bernard Michael alias Ben Pol, in an effort to salvage her image in the public eye after an explosive interview.

Bernard Michael is better known by his stage name Ben Pol.

Anerlisa Muigai and Ben Pol were married in May 2020 during the pandemic, but they divorced less than a year later.

Statements made by both parties at the time appear to imply that there were insurmountable disagreements between them. The year 2018 marked the beginning of the couple's relationship, which continued until the day of their wedding.

A few weeks after the passing of Anerlisa's younger sister Tecras, the couple exchanged their vows in a small ceremony in Tanzania.

During the holiday season, Anerlisa passed along notes that were forwarded on by Ben Pol, which said that "she is weary of being looked at as a horrible person."

Ben says in the text that he was not with her for her riches, despite the fact that he acknowledges that Christmas is no longer the same as it once was.

A portion of the message read, "I want to let you know that I was never with you because of money, in fact, during the time that we were together, it was the time that I was making the least money in my whole 12+ year career, but I was okay, and I never complained about it."

This comes after Ben made the sensational claim that he did not enjoy his marriage, despite the fact that the two exes shared many lovely photos of themselves on social media while they were dating and while they were married for a brief period of time.

Ben, as he was being interviewed by Millard Ayo, made the following statements:

"In 2018, we first began seeing each other. My gorgeous images together on social media are the only aspect of my marriage that I have ever liked. I was never able to enjoy the benefits of marriage as other people do. I was pretending to be there so that the photographer could take my picture."

In addressing the question of whether or not Anerlisa utilized him to brand herself,

He said; "I am being impartial but in my perspective, we got married to complete the picture. It's like she wanted to mark off marriage off her list."

The 'Moyo' hit artist also said he was down to work on their marriage.

"The sort of commitment and passion I felt for her is not something I had with someone. This was my very first commitment with a significant other."

After this interview, Anerlisa dared him to reveal what they had discussed in their most recent chat before she did it herself. She did this after she had called him out.
