Mr. Francis Kiambi Kiriro's wife, Mary Waigwe Muthoni, reported his death.

A businessman was discovered dead at his home in Karen, Nairobi, on Monday morning.

The cause of his death is unknown, and police in Nairobi are looking into it.

According to a police report on the incident, Mr. Francis Kiambi Kiriro's wife, Mary Waigwe Muthoni, reported his death.

She reportedly told police that they had spent some time at an entertainment venue at Karen Shopping Center before returning home with her husband at around midnight.

Following the wife's alleged refusal to serve as her husband's guarantor in securing Ksh. 2 billion loans he was seeking to open a business, the couple is said to have experienced some domestic issues.

After their argument, the two went to separate bedrooms to sleep, but the 50-year-old politician-turned-businessman was later discovered dead with vomit by his bedside.

The dead never woke up after spending the night in a separate room, yet he could be heard snoring all day and all night and had puked in his bedroom.

According to the police report, it wasn't until today, at around 6:00 a.m., that she went to check on the deceased and discovered him dead on his bed with some vomit next to the bed.

"They contacted a doctor from the Karen hospital, who at approximately 9:02 verified the dead."

The businessman's corpse, which has since been transported to Lee Funeral Home, had no obvious injuries, according to police who responded to the scene.

Adamson Bungei, the commander of the Nairobi Regional Police, has acknowledged that the event is still being investigated.

The late candidate, a prominent businessman, had previously run unsuccessfully for the Tharaka Nithi County Senate seat.
