Today at the Kenya Institute for Curriculum Development (KICD), the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, will officiate over the announcement of Form One placement results for KCPE Examination participants in 2022.

Before the start of the new academic year on January 23, parents, teachers, and candidates for the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) test are anxiously awaiting the outcomes of the computerized Form One selection.

A total of 1,233,852 applicants took the exams. According to the government's 100% transition policy, they are all eligible for admission to Form 1.

About 620,965 (or 50.32%) of the total applicants were male, while 612,887 were female.

Five boys and five girls from each sub-top county's 10 applicants will be sent to their preferred national schools.

With 290 subcounties throughout the nation, 2,900 students will be able to attend their top schools.

The government's standards for Form 1 placement, which put quality, fairness, and choice first, have not changed.
