On January 16, 2023, the secondary school placements for the candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) for 2022 will be released.
This will be only one week before the start of the 2023 school year. Ezekiel Machogu, the cabinet secretary for education, has already provided these requirements.

How do you let your child know which secondary school he or she has selected to join via SMS?
The SMS method to view Form 1 candidates' secondary school placement for the KCPE in 2022 is easy.
- To find out which school has chosen to enroll your child, send an SMS to 22263 with the KCPE index number in the subject line.
- The results of your Form 1 2022 selection will be subsequently sent to you. That is the institution where the candidates will be joining in Form 1.
- For Telkom, Safaricom, and Airtel lines, it will cost you Ksh. 25 to send an SMS to check Form 1 selection results for 2022 applicants.
How to check the results of the KCPE 2022 Form 1 Selection online
- Step 1: Go to the website of the Kenya Ministry of Education.
- Step 2: Choose the county and sub-county where the 2022 KCPE candidate took the KCPE 2022.
- Step 3: Enter your KCPE 2022 index number.
- Step 4: Send your entries.
- Step 5: When the website loads, the school you chose to enroll in on Form 1 will be visible. The Form 1 KCPE 2022 Candidate Admission Letter will thereafter be available for download.
- Step 6: Click on it to get or print your Form 1 admission letter for KCPE students in 2022.
- Step 7: Hand your KCPE 2022 admission letter in physical copy to the school you were chosen to attend for validation.
- Step 8: As instructedthe Form 1 joining instructions, be ready and present the candidate with the necessary accompaniments. They will be accepted into Form 1 and begin studying in high school.
