President William Ruto crowned as Nyanza Kingpin.

14 January 2023 Following the gift of a 200-kilogram huge fish and other delights from Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, President William Ruto's ties to the Nyanza area have only grown stronger.

The Head of State was cordially welcomed by the Governor on his visit to the area to kick off several development initiatives.

"Your Excellency, we have some presents for you since you were nice enough to visit us. Your Excellency, we are discussing the establishment of processing in the region since we have a 200-kilogram fish.

Wanga handed the items to Ruto and said, "Your Excellency, Mokwa is the UNGA we are manufacturing in Gwasi district, Homa Bay County."

Other presents included handcrafted traditional headgear from the area, a specialty called omena from Lake Victoria, as well as pineapples and other fruits.

Wanga also gave Ruto a cow with the term "President" printed on it and asked him to take the stage.

To improve the county's economy, Ruto promised to build a fish market nearby.

"The fish you gave us will be used in the processing sector, which will then transfer the finished product to other regions of the nation," said Ruto.

"All the fish from the area will be available for you to process." "I'll also be coming in December to purchase some fish when the fish market is built," he said.

Ruto is anticipated to launch several development initiatives in the area, including the commissioning of cost-effective homes.
