President Ruto appoints Mike Gitonga as Secretary of state functions

Mike Gitonga, a former KTN News presenter, has been appointed as the next Secretary of State Functions by President William Ruto.

Gitonga thanked God, his former employer, Mama Rachel, and President William Ruto in his statement. 

 

"A new year heralds fresh opportunities. I want to start by thanking God.

 

Gitonga recognized, "I also take this opportunity to thank the President of Kenya for the chance to serve our country as Secretary of State Functions."

 

Gitonga took up the role that had been held by Peter Wanjohi, a former secretary of state.

 

In his new position, Gitonga will carry out a range of media tasks, such as doing research, creating suggestions, and submitting them for approval to the State House Chief of Staff before they are made public.

 

Through email communications, targeted pitch calls, and news conferences, he will also be in charge of stoking interest in the executive's legislative package among the general public and the media. 

 

"I am indebted to the First Lad. Your leadership and guidance are invaluable.

 

 

"I will work to the best of my ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, so help me, God," Gitonga added.
