Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio movement, has slammed President William Ruto for not being honest in his dealings.
Raila said he does not recognize the Kenya Kwanza government and cannot constitute a team to select IEBC commissioners.
At Kamukunji, Raila added that the upcoming IEBC team is illegal and he will not work with them in 2027. He added that the outcome of the 2027 election has already been determined by the current regime.
Raila Odinga, the head of the Azimio Party, added that he does not see any reason why Kenyans should get up and vote in 2027 if the same things that transpired in the August elections will happen again.
Raila said that he and a lot of other Kenyans are now waiting with bated breath to hear the full story of what happened behind the scenes of the Supreme Court's decision that his appeal for the presidency was not valid.
Raila said that in order to make a decision, "we want to wait and see what these specifics are going to be about."
"Why should women, the elderly, and the crippled wait in line for such a long period of time to cast their ballots when, at the end of the day, it is a mercenary from Venezuela named Mr. Jose Camargo who finally determines who becomes the president of our country?" Raila asked.
On August 15, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission announced that William Ruto had won the presidential election that had been held on August 9.
Raila didn't agree with the decision and went to court to fight it. On September 5, the Supreme Court rejected all of Raila's arguments and ruled that Ruto had won.
