Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Gideon Moi

Shortly after President William Ruto said that some Kenyans were legally exempt from paying taxes, State House operative Dennis Itumbi posted a caption with Section 7(3) of the Estate Duty Act, Cap 483.

There have been attempts in the National Assembly to get rid of this part of the law that exempts the Moi and Kenyatta families from "estate taxation." Itumbi posted copies of these documented attempts to get rid of this part of the law.

"Someone is sponsoring the Azimio Rallies. He is opposed to the fact that everyone must pay taxes. Even with Democrats, the end result is the same: everyone must pay taxes! Haya, Demos, and Sarakasi Ziendelee, at the end, dear sponsor, everyone must pay taxes! Good evening...

"Did you know there is a law in Kenya exempting the Kenyattas and the Mois from paying tax on inherited land? "Animal Farm!" he reposted.
