Sporting CP star Pedro Porro to Tottenham

After a wild finish to the January transfer window, it seems as if Tottenham will have a calm day on the last day of the year.

This might be the case for Tottenham. The outstanding player from Sporting CP, Pedro Porro, was Tottenham's primary goal throughout the winter transfer window, and once a full agreement was achieved on Saturday, it seemed as if the transfer was finally completed.

On Monday, however, it seemed that the two teams were unable to come to an agreement over their respective financial situations.

After several hours of discussion, the problem was rectified, and Spurs and the Portuguese club came to another arrangement: the medical exam for Porro, which had been scheduled to take place yesterday, would now take place on the day before the transfer deadline.

The Lilywhites are not anticipated to make any additional transfers during the month of January; however, the club may make a move if the timing is perfect and there are any outstanding bargains that become available in the nick of time.

After Bryan Gil made his temporary return to Sevilla, it is expected that Djed Spence's exit from the club on loan will be formalized.
