Michelle Kamene Goro exits Kiss FM

Michelle Kamene Goro, also known by her stage name Kamene Goro, intends to leave Kiss FM after three years of anchoring the morning show on the station. Kiss FM is a Radio Africa Group-owned and -operated station.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the radio broadcaster's departure was precipitated by a fallout.

Alongside Thompson Maghana, aka Oga Obinna, Kamene acted as a co-host of the morning program. On Thursday, January 19, her devoted followers learned the sad news of her departure.

At the time that this news piece was being written, all attempts to get in touch with Kamene about her departure had been fruitless.

Also, people who work at the radio station said that after Kamene left, an equally well-known host would be shown to the public.

Sheila Kwamboka, better known by her pseudonym Kwambox, is a well-known radio broadcaster, and shortly after that, Radio Africa Group made the announcement that she would be joining the team.

Martin Khafafa, the Chief Operating Officer of the Group, said that Kwamboka was an excellent addition to the team because of her more than 20 years of experience working in the media business.

He went on to say that as a result of her inclusion, listeners would have the opportunity to experience "larger, better, and more engaging radio."

He continued by saying, "We have a lot of stations, and the program controllers will work over the next couple of days to integrate her into the program."

Classic 105, Kiss 100, Radio Jambo, Homeboyz, Gukena, and East FM are all owned by the Radio Africa Group, which has its headquarters in Westlands, Nairobi.
