Fulham vs Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest's best form in 2023 could be a motivating factor, and it will add to building on their strong Premier League debut in 2023 when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Even though Steve Cooper's team has the most points in the Premier League so far in 2023, Fulham is still ahead of Forest by eight points.

Fulham will focus on staying in the top half of the Premier League standings after beating Sunderland 3-2 on Wednesday to move on to the round of 16.

After gaining promotion alongside Nottingham Forest last year, the Cottagers have exceeded all initial expectations. They are still ranked above Chelsea and Liverpool because they have won nine of their 22 league matches.

Marco Silva, on the other hand, will want to end a three-game losing streak in the Premier League after a 0-0 draw with London rivals Chelsea at Craven Cottage and losses to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

After the World Cup break, Silva's club played four matches without a loss, but Fulham hasn't scored in either of their previous three league contests.

In Fulham's 11 Premier League games at the Cottage this season, only bottom-place Southampton has conceded more home goals than Fulham (16), so Forest will be optimistic that they can get something from the meeting on Saturday.

The Tricky Trees extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to five games with a valiant 1-0 win against Leeds United in their most recent match. As a consequence, Jesse Mars, the Whites' manager, was let go.

Brennan Johnson, a 21-year-old player who had played in the league four times before, scored the game-winning goal 14 minutes into the game. He now has three goals and two assists for a total of five.

Only two of Nottingham Forest's first 14 Premier League games were victories, which was a subpar start to the season. However, they have only lost once in their previous eight league games, giving them a six-point lead over the bottom three clubs.

Forest has only picked up one of its 10 away games this season, and Bournemouth is the only team with fewer points away from home than Forest.

The Reds will also want to score a lot of goals on the road since only Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest have scored fewer than them (17 and 3, respectively).

In September, Fulham beat Forest 3-2 thanks to three goals in six minutes during the second half, but it looks like Cooper's team has made a lot of progress since then.
