The AFC Leopards coach, Patrick Aussems, is accused of verbally attacking a journalist, and the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has said that it would look into the matter.

After his team's league match against Nzoia Sugar in Bungoma, the Belgian coach was overheard calling a journalist "dumb" in his post-match remarks.

The event will be reported to the Disciplinary Committee, according to FKF Chief Executive Barry Otieno. Otieno reaffirmed, "We will also give him a chance to tell his side of the story."

On Sunday, Aussems remarked, "You are foolish, my buddy," in response to an inquiry from a journalist, and then echoed those identical words.

When the coach was sent off against Nzoia, the aforementioned journalist questioned him as to why he did not abandon the football field.

Sources have informed us that Patrick Webo, not Aussems, was the goalkeeping coach for the Leopards.

"Webo, not I, was given the red card." You are a fool. "In fact, I'd want to see your name; in that case, don't ask me any more questions," Aussems said.

Aussems, who was still upset about the game, wrote that the four officials were idiots, but that the two teams handled themselves well and that women make the best referees in Kenya.

FKF vowed to slap him a heavy fine and be an example to others in the country.

Nzoia and the Leopards drew 0-0 in the game. Aussems, a former defender who played in the Belgian division, has been in command at Leopards for the last 18 months.

He has previously had some success managing teams like South Africa's Black Leopards, Sudan's Al Hilal, and Tanzania's Simba.
