All 34 Jubilee party MPs accompany President Ruto in Nakuru

A number of Jubilee MPs have joined President William Ruto during a ceremony of thanksgiving in Nakuru County.

This happens only 24 hours after the leader of Jubilee, Uhuru Kenyatta, said that the group is still strong and the representatives are united.

"Bado tuko kwa ile chama tulikuwa nayo na bado tunaendelea kuunga Azimio mkono ata kama hatuko siasa active. Hakuna mambo yamebadilika," Uhuru said.

The 32 Jubilee MPs that met Ruto at the State House earlier this week were in Nakuru on Sunday, though, for a church service.

Sabina Chege, a nominated member, and Kanini Kega, an EALA member, were in charge of them.

Kega acknowledged that Ruto is the Head of State when speaking in Nakuru.

"According to the reality that we are witnessing, William Samoei Ruto is the fifth president of this country. There is nothing else," Kega said.

Former Taveta MP Naomi Shaban, party chair Nelson Dzuya, and Jimmy Angwenyi were also present.

All 34 Jubilee party members, according to Kega, would back Ruto in his endeavors.

"Your Excellency, 34 members of the National Assembly and the Senate and I will march with you and work with you," he said.

Since some of the party's members met President William Ruto at State House, disputes have shaken the Jubilee party.

The first visit took place last month, and the second, which took place last week, saw 32 Jubilee members visiting the State House.

The following event was a special session, which was held in Kisumu at the Sarova Woodlands Hotel. Participants were EALA MP Kanini Kega, Rachel Nyamai, Naomi Shaban, and Joshua Kutuny.

After a meeting on Friday, the National Executive Executive Committee sent Kioni a letter telling him that he had been fired because of serious wrongdoing.

Kanini Kega was appointed in his stead.

Kagwe Gichohi, the treasurer, and David Murathe, the vice chairman, were also fired.

Kioni argued that even though the National Executive Committee had suspended him, he was still the secretary general of Jubilee.

The party has taken steps to begin leaving the Azimio Coalition.

The party said that they now want to join Ruto's Kenya Kwanza team.
