Roberto Luiz Bianchi Pelliser, also known as Beto Bianchi, is a Spanish-Brazilian who has been named the new head coach of the Vipers SC.

Bianchi and Roberto Martinez were shown to the world on Tuesday at Kitende's St. Mary's Stadium by the club's president, Lawrence Mulindwa.

Only a month had passed since the Vipers, based in Kitende, broke off all ties with Roberto Oliveira, also known as Robertinho, who had been the team's head coach before. Roberto Oliveira has since joined Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

Mulindwa praised the tactician's high profile with the introduction of Bianchi and thinks it would be very helpful for the Vipers in their attempt to do well in the upcoming continental games.

"We intend to accomplish a lot with him," he added. "This is a skilled and experienced coach; he has been in the coaching area for over 22 years."

He has worked in Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Africa, and even Asia. "He has a very prominent position, and we anticipate a lot out of him."

When asked why the club often chooses foreign managers over local coaches, Mulindwa said that although he feels that local managers are equally competent, foreign coaches have a variety of experiences that are valuable to local football players.

He claims that training with foreign coaches gives local players a trust that lasts even after they move up to professional football.

Bianchi joins Vipers SC as they prepare for the commencement of their CAF Champions League group-round matches in February 2023.

The Vipers competed against the Guinean Horoya AC, the Tanzanian Simba SC, and the Moroccan Giants, Raja Casablanca.

The Vipers will play Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League in Morocco.
