Young lady handed her papers to the CS who was in Kiambu
Young lady handed her papers to the CS who was in Kiambu.

In violation of procedure on accessing prominent people, a young woman gave Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki her academic transcripts in exchange for a job.

The lady was given the microphone to speak at the Kiambu County Cianda Assistant County Commissioner's office opening while the CS was there, and she used the chance to beg for a position in the new office.

She said eloquently that despite having diploma and degree qualifications, she had not been able to find work. Later, she would request permission to give the CS the documents.

"Personally, I am here to request a job opportunity because tunafungua ofisi ya AC, the AC ako employed. Mimi personally nikikuja hapa nilikuwa nakuja kutafuta job. I have my papers here. Niko na diploma ya Business Administration na degree ya Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, procurement option. I will be thankful if you give me a chance to hand over my papers to you," the lady pleaded with CS Kindiki.

Further, she linked the rising drug abuse and crime rates in the county to unemployment.

"Shida ni moja, I am here to talk about the youths. Nimeskia crime rate iko juu na pia drug addiction iko juu. Sababu kubwa ya crime rate kuwa juu ni youths are unemployed. Unapata you are moving from this company to the next kutafuta job na vacancies are not available. So unajipata the thing you can do is ukuwe mkora or you go join your friends in dealing drugs," she added.

However, the lady secured a post in the new administration.
