Nathan Jones.

Nathan Jones has been fired as Southampton manager after spending 90 days in charge.

Despite having a chance to win the game for more than an hour, the Saints were defeated in the Premier League on Saturday by fellow strugglers Wolves.

After less than 30 minutes, Mario Lemina, a former Southampton midfielder, was dismissed, only minutes after Carlos Alcaraz gave Southampton the lead.

Southampton suffered their third straight loss in the Premier League against three other clubs that are also stuck in the bottom half of the standings thanks to an own goal from Jan Bednarek in the second half and a late goal from Joao Gomes.

On February 18, Southampton will play host to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

According to the Saints, "Nathan Jones, manager of Southampton Football Club's men's first team, has been fired, the club has confirmed."

"Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan, first team coaches, have both departed the organization.

"First Club Lead Coach Rubén Sellés will oversee practice and get the team ready for the match against Chelsea next Saturday."

K24 TV will air the game between Chelsea and Southampton live at EPL Maskani.
