CS Aishsa Jumwa home
Public Service Cabinet Secretary, Aisha Jumwa

The Public Service Cabinet Secretary, Aisha Jumwa, had her house in Loresho broken into despite having police presence. The thieves took some valuables and ran away.

The event happened on February 15 at 1:45 a.m. while the CS was gone on official business, according to a police complaint submitted to the Spring Valley Police Station under OB Number 03/02/2023.

The crime was reported to the police by one of the members of the CS body guards, who said that a group of three individuals armed with simple weapons broke past the electric perimeter wall to enter the property and penetrated the main house via the rear door, which was left open.

The suspects entered the upstairs master bedroom without stopping, trashed the space, and took two computers as well as some gold jewelry.

They then went to the room where the two daughters of the CS were resting and took KES 1.1 million, three mobile phones, and jewelry of an undetermined value from there. The event left one of the girls with minor wounds.

The attackers spent almost four hours in the house before leaving at about 5am on Wednesday.

Police are looking into the event, but no perpetrators have been taken into custody as of yet.
