Babu Owino

Paul Ongili, the member of parliament for Embakasi East, revealed shocking details.

In response to the police raid on Fred Matiang'i, a former interior cabinet secretary, Ongili, also known as Babu Owino, has broken his silence, saying he told him something but did not follow through.

This follows reports that a group of law enforcement officers attempted to break into Matiang's house in Karen on Wednesday night.

The personnel, who came in two unmarked vehicles and claimed to be from EACC and the Asset Recovery Agency, said they were on legitimate business.

However, the two organizations have subsequently refuted any claims of participation.

Babu Owino said on his Twitter account that Matiang'i should have put Wafula Chebukati, the former head of the IEBC, in jail in August.

Owino said that "if Matiang'i would have heeded my advice or instructions about arresting Chebukati, we would not have gone through these ridiculous games." "If Matiang'i would have heeded my advice and instructions about arresting Chebukati," Owino continued.

In August of the year before, this information was made public by the legislature. It said that he asked his former interior secretary, Karanja Kibicho, to arrest Chebukati, but Kibicho said no.

Owino challenged Kibicho's decision not to arrest Chebukati in an interview with NTV.

At the time, it was abundantly evident that Raila Odinga would not be recognized as the victor of the presidential election that took place on August 9. Owino wondered why Kibicho made such a decision.

Several people with a lot of power have spoken out against the faked arrest attempt that didn't work.

On the other hand, EACC Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbarak has flatly denied that any of his staff were involved in the attempted raid.

"We do not have any knowledge."

"Those individuals, if there are any, do not belong to the EACC. There is nothing that we have against him," he said.

Additionally, ARA authorities refuted claims that they were present at the residence.

Many people were left wondering who was responsible for the botched raid after government officials denied that it happened.
