The 23-year-old Darwin Nunez did not seem to be in any pain as he left the field, and as a result, it was quite unexpected when Liverpool decided not to select him in their matchday squad to play Crystal Palace this past weekend.

"Darwin was good with an infusion versus Madrid because there's no form of failure," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp stated.

"There's no structural harm." That is really painful, but he had another blow there the day after the Madrid game, and he was unable to move the arm at all.

"We are going to have to wait to discover how long it takes." Because of this, he did not participate in the game.

The absence of Nunez caused Liverpool to struggle against Palace, and they ended up playing to a scoreless draw. They are now determined to get back on track with a victory when they take on Wolves in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Both Joe Gomez, who missed the Palace match due to a muscle injury, and Nunez will have to go through more tests before they can play in that game. Nunez is scheduled to do a late physical test before another match.

The good news for Liverpool supporters is that Ibrahima Konate has returned to training camp and should be ready for the game against Wolves.

During the last 12 games in a row, Liverpool has not trailed at the break in any of their home fixtures, regardless of the competition.

Liverpool has gone 84 of its past 99 matches in all tournaments without suffering a defeat.

In each of their most recent three Premier League contests, Liverpool has been victorious in preserving a scoreless record.

In each of Liverpool's last three Premier League games, there were fewer than 2.5 shots on target.

Just two of Wolverhampton's most recent 18 away matches across all tournaments have resulted in victories for the club.

Wolverhampton are unbeaten in seven of their past eight matches away from home in all tournaments.

In their away encounters across all divisions, Wolverhampton have been able to score an aggregate of 0.86 goals.

The match will be live on K24 TV.
