Kenya Kwanza Govt is like company shares, those who voted will be preferencial -Rigathi Gachagua

DP Rigathi Gachagua has said that the individuals who backed the Kenya Kwanza administration would be given preference for public offices and deals.

According to Gachagua, the new administration of Kenya Kwanza would offer the least regard to opposition figures while rewarding its most ardent followers and those who worked hard to bring the present government into power.

"This government functions much like a firm, complete with shares. There are owners who own the controlling stake, owners who hold just a few shares, and other owners who do not hold any shares at all.

"You have a responsibility to profit from your investment in this administration. 

"You planted seeds, worked the soil, applied fertilizer, and watered it, and now it is time to harvest," Gachagua said on Sunday.

Gachagua, who was addressing people in Kericho at the time, said that it is ludicrous that certain opposition groups have begun marching to State House in order to apply for government posts.

He said that even though the administration would represent all Kenyans, it is smart, fair, and reasonable to benefit the government's loyalists with positions inside the government.

"I am getting some flak for suggesting that those who sowed will reap first, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that statement. 

"Their time of harvesting will come sometime after all those who sowed have done reaping," stated Gachagua.

Gachagua was certain that the people who flipped the vote should be made to understand the importance of elections.

"Elections have importance. You are not allowed to make any noise or say anything negative about President William Ruto, and if he wins, you will be moved up in line to get advantages before people who were with him.

Gachagua said that he had designated himself as the custodian of state house and that he would guarantee that any those who were opposed to Kenya Kwanza are barred from holding any lucrative roles in the government.

"That is my role at State House: regulating that line and selecting who is ahead of whom," he continued. "I am responsible for making those decisions."

He made these remarks while touring a number of different initiatives in Kericho County.
