MP Rosa Buyu

Some Kenyans discussed MP Rosa Buyu's choice to launch a hearse as they voiced their opinions on the action. Rosa Buyu is the Member of Parliament for Kisumu West.

The legislator ordered the hearse as a way to support her people at a time of loss. She wanted to give her citizens a choice and protect them from hearse owners who were notorious for demanding exorbitant fees for their services.

The politician said that the action was taken in response to her people' repeated requests for assistance during difficult times. She said that grief or illness-related calls make up the bulk of the calls.

The driver of the hearse, petrol, and other costs that had otherwise fallen on the shoulders of the grieving families would be covered by the MP.

All that our grieving voter would need to do is provide us with the information in time so that we can make preparations for it, she said.

The Kisumu West Constituency Development Fund (CDF) office, where grieving people will schedule its services, had a crowded hearse outside. Its outside is black with a painting of her nickname, "Dwasi," and its inside is outfitted with modern chairs for the comfort of passengers.

Some Kenyans applauded Buyu's action, calling the hearse a significant relief for thousands of residents who were struggling due to the high cost of living.

A Facebook user said, "Now the wonderful people of Kisumu West Constituency will say bye-bye to the extremely exorbitant hiring expenditures of the hearses.

However, other users voiced their dissatisfaction with the choice to give a hearse priority in a constituency when its residents were dealing with other difficulties.

"To make it easier for her deceased people to go home, Kisumu West Constituency MP Rosa Buyu bought a hearse. We refer to it as priorities.

Another person said, "Our leaders choose to help the dead rather than the surviving or the ill."
