Frederick Kinaibei Shiundu, the Narok Central Sub-County Police Commander,

On the evening of February 7, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) opened an investigation into the abduction of a police commander in Narok.

Frederick Kinaibei Shiundu, the Narok Central Sub-County Police Commander, was discovered abandoned around 3:30 a.m. beside a river, according to a person familiar with the situation.

When the two armed individuals approached the senior police officer, he was not hurt physically but was robbed of his rifle.

Later, a watchman spotted him by the river and brought him back to Narok Police Station so he could provide a statement. He was then saved.

"It occurred yesterday evening. Both fatalities and injuries were avoided. They just abducted him and took his weapon. He was taken back after being discovered by a watchman somewhere, according to the source.

Shiundu said in a statement that the two guys approached him as he opened his gate and forced him into a car.

The officer was found by an unnamed security guard after the thieves left him by the river and drove away with him.

"The officer, who was still wearing his police uniform, claims that as he was opening the gate to his home, he was confronted by two men, one of whom had a pistol and was aiming it at him. The other man forced him into a Toyota Wish, the registration of which is unknown, and stole his gun before driving off in the direction of Mau Narok.

He was abandoned in the Tipis region and found by a watchman. The statement submitted to the police station said, in part, that he wasn't hurt during the event.

Along with his Jericho gun, Shiundu also lost 14 rounds of ammo in the event.
