Pastor Ezekiel pays the entire high school fees (Ksh 314,000) for a Kilifi girl who worked in a quarry in the Magarini constituency.

There is hope at last for 14-year-old Sera Kauchi, a Kilifi girl who scored 405 marks but resolved to crush stones after failing to join Form One due to a lack of school fees. Pastor Ezekiel Odero has come to the girl's rescue.

The man of God will sponsor the girl's four-year education at Moi Girls, Isinya.

"He paid her full fees from Form One to Four, a total of KSh 314,000," her former headmistress Constance Kanze said.

Pst. Ezekiel also paid the fees for another boy from the same school to join St. Joseph's High School, Kitale.

Sera Kauchi Naftali, who was allocated a Form 1 spot at Moi Girls High School, Isinya, but failed to report owing to a lack of school fees, had given up hope of ever enrolling there.

The former student at Bandacho Primary School in the Adu ward of Magarini constituency, which graduated 17 candidates with 400 or higher grades, is concerned that another student would take her spot at the school in Kajiado county.

Students in Form 1 had until 15th February 2023 to report. Sera needed Sh75,789 in order to report.

She is one of four Bandacho Primary students who received more than 400 marks but were unable to enroll at the institutions from which they received acceptance letters.

The brilliant girl had applied for scholarships from institutions like Equity Bank's Wings to Fly and the Elimu Scholarship programs and received a pledge from the Kilifi county government, but she received none, so she spent her time crying while she did housework and menial jobs.
