Sen. Ledam Ole Kina appointed as Senate new Minority Whip

Raila Odinga, the head of the Azimio alliance, has suggested a rearrangement of the membership of the Senate Minority, and he has appointed Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina as the new Minority Whip.

Ole Kina succeeds Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo.

Edwin Sifuna, a senator from Nairobi, will take over for Ledama in his absence.

On Wednesday, February 15, a statement was issued on the conversation that took place the previous day with senators from Azimio.

Odinga also said that Senator Steward Madzayo of Kilifi will continue to be the leader of the Senate Minority and that Senator Enock Wambua of Kitui will be his deputy.

The former Prime Minister said that the changes were made to bring senators together and help them work together. They were also made to make the Azimio coalition and their mission in the upper chamber more effective.

"We have requested that our members strive to successfully promote Azimio in the House of Representatives. Azimio represents the people of Kenya and their right to self-defense," Odinga stated.
