President William Ruto with ODM members
ODM MPs in Statehouse.

John Mbadi, the party's chairman, has just said that he is prepared to step down. ODM deputies are all missing in action. The governors of Nyanza have yet to make a decision, while MPs met with President Ruto at the statehouse.

Jubilee MPs also met President Ruto in the statehouse a few days ago, while its leadership is missing in action. NARC Kenya members are withdrawing, and Kabando wa Kabando is the latest to resign from the party. Charity Ngilu of NARC and Gideon Moi of KANU have all disappeared.

ODM Chairman John Mbadi says that he has done his part as chair of the ODM for the past nine years, even though he has had disagreements with some party members since the last national election.

A group of party members have accused the nominated MP of undermining the opposition leader by failing to show up at rallies held by the Azimio coalition in Nairobi City.

On the other hand, Lang'ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour, who is better known by his stage name Jalang'o, says that President William Ruto called him on Tuesday and asked him to come to State House for a meeting. Other lawmakers from the Luo Nyanza area were also there.

The conference's topic, according to Jalang'o, was development-focused and not political. He claimed to have gotten a call from the head of state prior to the meeting.

Jalang'o said that he agreed to go to the meeting at State House after the president called him and asked him to go.

The meeting's agenda was largely focused on growth, he said. When the President was in Luo Nyanza last month, he made a number of project commitments that we spoke about.

After pictures from the meeting were posted on social media, the Langa'ata MP, who says he is a huge fan of Raila Odinga, became one of Twitter's top trending topics.

The nine MPs who attended the meeting with President Ruto are Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda, MPs Felix Odiwuor (Langata), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Paul Abuor (Rongo) and Walter Owino (Awendo). Independent MP Shakeel Shabir (Kisumu East) was also present.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga now claims he is ready to continue with the mission of liberating Kenya even if he is alone.

All ODM deputies and the chairman are missing in action. Jubilee leadership is also missing. One Hon. Jeremiah Kioni is available.

There are no notables in those meetings, such as David Murathe or Raphael Tuju.
