Nairobi has now officially entered the list of places where "The Real Housewives" reality series is available, and Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) had a few comments to make about the participants of the eagerly awaited program in their customary fashion.

Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Lagos, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Abuja are among the other African cities that have been turned into successful movies.

In a trailer released on Friday, the cast of "Real Housewives of Nairobi" was unveiled. It stars five powerful and wealthy women as they manage their opulent lives, romantic relationships, and jobs in the city.

These are a few of them:

Susan Kaittany

She has been in business for a long time and owns two businesses: Posh Palace Hair Studio and Spa and Polished, a high-end store for skin care and aromatherapy.

The mother of two quit her job as a lawyer to try out modeling and travel, and then she started a business selling wellness products and cosmetics.

Vera Sidika

She is a socialite and businesswoman who is married to the musician Brown Mauzo and has one child together.

One of Kenya's best-known celebrities, Sidika, has businesses in the spa and herbal tea sectors.

Like her spouse, she has lately become interested in music.

Sonal Maherali

She is a fan of fashion, a businesswoman, and a famous person. In 2010, she found her place in the world through luxury vlogging.

The mother of four now runs the high-end clothing and shoe brand Simba Maharani and works to raise awareness about mental health.

Minne Kariuki

She is an actress and businesswoman who is married to Charles Muigai, a well-known businessman and former manager of Jaguar. The couple has two kids together.

She is an actress and businesswoman who is married to Charles Muigai, a well-known businessman and former manager of Jaguar. The couple has two kids together; the youngest of the five housewives is spunky, outspoken, and confident in who she is.

She recently appeared in the drama series Single Kiasi on Showmax.

Lisa Christoffersen

She is a luxury safari curator, author, company owner, rally driver, and interior designer.

Christoffersen started the first women-only rally team in Kenya, Lioness Rally. She also started Lifestyle Nairobi, a place in Nairobi's diplomatic suburb of Gigiri with an art gallery, restaurants, a spa, organic stores, and fashion boutiques.

The Real Housewives of Nairobi is a spinoff of the Real Housewives franchise. It is made by Eugene Mbugua's D&R Studios with a framework license from NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal International Studios.

On February 23, 2023, the reality series will have its Showmax debut. New episodes will be released every Thursday after that.

Denise Mwende, Showmax's East Africa Content Specialist, said why these particular women were chosen to represent the show: "Each of the ladies has a commanding presence and certain character about themselves."

"They are strong, successful, prominent, and uncompromising women who do not feel guilty about living a luxurious lifestyle since they have worked hard to get it." Additionally, they serve as a symbol of Kenya's different cultures.
