A 27-year-old guy was taken into custody by police in Kitale, which is located in Trans Nzoia county. He is suspected of being the one who triggered the demise of his 43-year-old girlfriend by burning her private parts with a hot metal.

After arguing with Nancy Chelimo over his extramarital affair, the perpetrator, Alex Chemwantei Cheroben, is reported to have assaulted her and caused her damage.

At the hamlet of Nyakoingwana, which is located in the Endebes sub-county, the two were residing together as a committed couple.

After the event, Chelimo did not seek medical attention for the wounds that were sustained by the actions of her boyfriend. Her lover had beaten her.

One week after the tragedy, she was brought low by her wounds and passed away.

Burn marks were discovered on the buttocks of the dead person, as observed by Selasio Murithi, commander of the Endebes Police Department.

He went on to say that her remains had been sent to the mortuary of the Kitale County Hospital in order to await an autopsy.

As everything is going on, the perpetrator is being detained by the police in preparation for his arraignment in court on Monday, March 6, 2023.

In a parallel event in Mwea East, which is located in Kirinyaga County, the detectives have begun searching for a suspect who is suspected of killing his girlfriend and then concealing her in an unmarked grave.

The cops who discovered the dead corpse of the 44-year-old lady made the observation that the person who is now at large might just have murdered the victim in their shared room.

Sammy Beautah, the deputy police commander of the Mwea West Sub-County, pointed out that the corpse was found several days after the event that occurred on Sunday.

"The situation was reported by members of the family to the Kiamaciri police station, and when we went to the residence to investigate, we discovered the corpse of the victim... After receiving an order from the Baricho law court, we began the task of exhuming Joyce Nginya's remains after discovering that she had been buried in a very shallow grave, as he had claimed.

When their relative was absent for three days, members of the dead person's family said that they felt compelled to report the situation to the authorities.
