A guy was convicted of having incest with his 3-year-old daughter and handed down a life sentence by a Kisumu court. Chrispine Oruo, the main magistrate of the Winam law court, condemned the guy on Friday.
Six respondents in all were submitted by the prosecution throughout the hearing under the direction of Mwende Kavindu.
During pronouncing the verdict, Oruo said that he had based his decision on the material presented to the court showing the offender's relationship to the victim.
A medical report was also used by the court.
Paul Koech Rop, an athlete and 42-kilometre marathon runner, is the main suspect in the death of his 2-year-old daughter, Linda Chepkorir, in a separate incident.
Weeks after the father acquired custody of the child, the family made repeated attempts to locate Baby Linda but were unsuccessful. She was finally found murdered and laid to rest on Thursday.

The family is in shambles as a result of the father's heartless behaviour and the unexpected occurrences. The suspect will be charged on Monday.
