The FA Cup semi-final match between Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion ended in heartache for the Seagulls on Sunday, as they were knocked out of the tournament as a result of losing in a spot shootout.

Notwithstanding the loss, Roberto Di Zerbi's squad is having a very successful season. The side from the south coast comes into this game having lost just one of their previous seven league matches, which puts them in a strong position to win this one.

After a solid season, Brighton is now in eighth position in the standings, only two points outside of the top six, and they have three games in hand on Aston Villa, which is currently in sixth place.

The Seagulls have been quite productive in front of goal as of late, as shown by the fact that they have scored at least two goals in five of their previous seven matches played in the English Premier League.

A single defeat in their last nine matches played away from home in the Premier League is all that separates Brighton from having a respectable recent away record.

Crystal Palace's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night at Molineux was an opportunity for them to continue their win streak under the guidance of Roy Hodgson. However, the match ended in a disastrous loss for Crystal Palace, as they were defeated by two goals.

The Eagles are now 12th in the Premier League standings, thanks to a significant improvement that has occurred since Hodgson's return. This places them just nine places above the zone, indicating safety.

Wolves are currently in 14th place, three points behind Crystal Palace, but the Julen Lopetegui-led team is still only six points above the relegation zone.

Despite taking the lead thanks to a goal by Matheus Cunha in the thirteenth minute of their most recent game, Leicester City defeated Wolves 2-1.

The Wanderers were in complete control for significant portions of the game, taking 16 shots and holding the ball for 59% of the time. However, they were unable to maintain their advantage throughout the match.

Before suffering their first defeat on Saturday, Wolves had gone undefeated in their previous three matches (a draw against Nottingham Forest, followed by wins over Chelsea and Brentford).

After losing four of their last eight league matches, though, Lopetegui and his squad must keep fighting to pick up maximum points if they want to save themselves from falling into the relegation zone.
