Eric Omondi, a well-known entertainer, has said that he will protest for 14 straight days starting next week until his complaints are heard.
Omondi has been arrested and taken to court multiple times because of his protests. In an interview with Hot 96 on Thursday, he said that his determination hasn't been broken yet and that he will keep fighting for things like a lower cost of living.
"I will protest for 14 days in a row starting on Monday, but I won't say where I'll be doing it since I'm quite imaginative," he stated.
The self-proclaimed President of Comedy Africa also said that the stories of his fellow Kenyans who are having trouble because living costs are going up are the main reason he is fighting.
"I'll defend the Wanjikus. It is difficult since the texts I get are becoming more bizarre by the day. The watoto hawajakula siku tatu was once spoken to me. " He said, "How is it even possible?
The comedian also tried to answer Kenyans who had said on the internet that he would soon run for office because of all the trouble he got into and the funny things he did.
The comedian said that notion has crossed his mind as well, adding that he recognises the value of first restructuring one's own system.
"I've worked hard, but not much has come of it. I am thinking about it since I have heard that sometimes in order to fight for Wanjiku, I must be on the inside if I want to witness the change. But going forward, that is how it will be," he continued.
"I am a performer; I have no desire to enter politics. I'm simply trying to uphold the rights of the people, and I'm certain I'll succeed."
