Liverpool vs Aston Villa.

Sensational expiring deal forward Roberto Firmino has received a status report on his physical condition from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

After eight years of playing time at Anfield, the Brazilian will depart the Reds on a free transfer at the conclusion of the 2022–23 season.

Despite missing the previous six games due to a muscular issue, there have been worries that Firmino may have played his last match for the club.

Following Monday's 3-0 victory for Liverpool against Leicester City, during which the visiting supporters sang Firmino's name and applauded him at the end of the game, Klopp said there is a possibility the striker may play in their last home match of the year against Aston Villa.

"The chanting was terrific." Klopp remarked, "I've never seen something like it for someone who wasn't playing."

"I believe he has an opportunity to face Villa. We go home; I believe Tuesday is a day off for everyone else save him, which means on Wednesday he will participate in the team's workout.

"We must observe. There are several factors that make the game on Saturday quite challenging. For a few players, this may be their last game.
